Germanos Hellas ABEE mobile telecommunications in cooperation with Sony Ericsson Hellas mobile telecommunications organized a competition in Greece and Cyprus in which customers who purchased specific mobile models from any Germanos Shops would have the chance to win a number of prizes.

Idea & Implementation

Customers were invited to register a unique code that was found on the packages of the specific mobile models when purchased from any Germanos Shops via sms, by sending it to a unique short code. An instant reply was sent back to the participants informing them whether they had won or not.

Objectives

The campaign aimed to increase the sales and promote the specific handset models in the market, while driving more clients to the Germanos Shops.

Results

An increase in the sales of the specific handset models was achieved, while rewarding clients for their choice of mobile handset by giving out a number of prizes. At the same time, an opt-in database of customers was generated for future marketing activities.
